Transcribe Japanese audio to text
Slate turns Japanese speech into a Japanese transcript with speaker labels, then writes a summary in the language you choose. That suits anyone who follows spoken Japanese more slowly than they read their own language.

Can you get an English summary of a lecture given in Japanese?
Yes. Set the meeting language to Japanese and the summary language to English, or to any of the other languages. You keep the full Japanese transcript to search later, and the summary gives you the key points in a language you read quickly.
An iPhone on the desk is enough to record a lecture, and recording works offline; Slate transcribes once you're back online. More on recording lectures.
Working with colleagues in Japan?
On a Mac, Slate records Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex calls from the menu bar, and no bot joins the call. Afterwards you get the Japanese transcript, a summary with action items in your language, and Ask AI for questions like who agreed to send the figures.
